Designer thoughts

"When I designed EIVOR LEVA quilt cover and pillowcases my inspiration came from Sweden's rich tradition of using textiles as a means of storytelling. "Leva" means "to live" in Swedish, and I wanted to create a detailed, colourful pattern that tells a story of life underway - filled with people, plants and forms. I started with a small detail, and from there a whole world grew forth. My biggest challenge was in creating a flow, an energy and a bustle of activity - all in one harmonious composition. EIVOR LEVA is like a much-loved friend, I want it in my home - and hope you will too!"
